Action Duplication Elects New President - July 2008
UNDER NEW LEADERSHIP, ACTION DUPLICATION FORGES AHEAD WITH BUSINESS AS USUAL. AND THEN SOME.
CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (June 2008) -- The death of Joel Levitt, founder of Action Duplication - a leader in providing high-quality DVD, CD and VHS duplication and replication services to companies in the Mid-Atlantic region - was a tremendous loss for all who knew and worked for him. Certainly his wife, Patsy, and his family were devastated. But for long time friend, Mike Taylor, who was also Vice President and General Manager of Action Duplication, the loss had a business complication as well. Patsy Levitt, taking over as Chairperson of the Board, asked Taylor to assume the role of President of the company and continue to run it with the same ethics, principles and pride that her husband had done for the past 18 years.
"Joel relied on Mike Taylor to run the company while he focused on customer service and the creative side of the business," says Mrs. Levitt. "What our customers didn't always see," she explains, "is that Joel conferred with Mike on all aspects of a client's projects, from the creative components to the on-time completion. It was Mike who was the soft spoken spirit behind Action Duplication's great success. Now," Mrs. Levitt says, "Mike is going to be the driving force out front as well as behind the scenes. I know he's up to it," she adds, "because he's been doing it quietly all along."
Taylor responds by saying, "When Joel opened this business in 1990, I was the operations-tech guy. I helped him grow Action Duplication to what it is today...the only manufacturer of DVDs and CDs in the Philadelphia region to offer one-stop shopping for disc manufacturing, video and audio duplication, packaging, printing, fulfillment, DVD authoring, broadcast duplication, and international standards conversions. I am so proud of what we accomplished together! Joel was a great businessman and teacher, with a warm smile and an outgoing personality that drew people to him," explains Taylor. "I learned a lot from him. And while he will be sadly missed by all of us who knew him, my job now is to continue to run the company as he would - with the same high-technology standards plus personal service, attention to detail and sensitivity to the needs of our corporate clients. This is my number one priority."
With Taylor at the helm, Action Duplication is going to go fast-forward as Joel Levitt intended. The company recognizes that advanced technology and outstanding customer service are the future of the industry. "We are currently investigating the Blu-Ray Disc and its impact on the corporate world," says Taylor. "We'll be expanding our research in that arena, while at the same time broadening our core services. We will continue to respond to the newest technology and be prepared to invest in what our customers want. And," Taylor says, "we will continue to look at new products and services that meet the communication needs of the corporate world. As the company grows, we plan to expand our satellite offices as well - including Harrisburg, Pa., New York/Connecticut and the Baltimore-Washington area."
Patsy Levitt and Mike Taylor share Joel Levitt's vision for Action Duplication. Together they will strive to meet and exceed the standards he so proudly set for the company.
