Action Duplication recently manufactured the DVDs for composer John Alvarese's Film Score Sampler. This extraordinary DVD, authored by Cubist Post in Philadelphia (www.cubistpost.com), shows John scoring Buster Keaton's classic 1922 silent film "Cops." The film provided the perfect blank canvas for a lyrical, tender, yet, comedic musical score. John noted, "The Cops project allowed me to bring together a small orchestral ensemble of 19 players to perform my composition of three themes closely following the plot: a simple misunderstanding that escalates out of control."
